, Which sets standards for U.S. surgical procedures?
I'm trying to figure out which advice or group sets standards physicians must go. Stop listening and Open Your Eyes: Real funny. Should not you be in pre-algebra class right now?
Good question. There really is a written set of standards for what should be done sometime during the process. Medicine is constantly changing. At the time, when something has been agreed that it would be obsolete. Surgeons read peer-reviewed journals in their special and participate in further medical education continuously updated. They are also involved in the peer-review, in hospitals - other medical review, what they do. If there are problems, those things are reviewed as well. Some procedures are different ways, as happens, no of them could be right. Every patient is different, so techniques may need to be adjusted at any time. Here is a special plate, which certify surgeons in their specialty - doctors must pass a written and oral tests, and doctors usually have to present cases for consideration. Board certification is time-consuming, expensive, and voluntary. State permits the board to set standards care and may cancel the surgeon license unless they meet the conditions of care and ethical standards. State licensing is mandatory practice medicine, and each state requires its own license. Hope that helps.
